Let me introduce myself. I am Dr. Christi Cheng, a general practitioner specializing in family medicine. Think of me as your ‘personal healthcare advocate’ or even your personal healthcare ‘coach.’ Naturally, your health is important to me. Good ongoing health can dramatically improve the overall quality of your life. And, of course, we all want that! The intent of this blog is to provide you — my patients — with information on a range of topics from how to get the most out of your visit with us, to dealing with allergies, diabetes care, the mind-body connection, and much more. I also hope the blog makes me more accessible to you, giving you an opportunity to learn about my insights from practicing medicine for the past 20 years, and the passion I have for preventive medicine.
Just for background, our office specializes in diagnosing a wide range of health issues. My specialties are family medicine and allopathy — a biologically based approach to healing.
